I used Marks & Spencers to send flowers online last Mothers Day. The great thing about M&S is that you can add products to your basket but send them to different addresses, really useful for times like Mothers Day when you need to send to your own Mum and your Mother in Law too!

Will use M&S to send flowers again over the internet.

M and S seem to have transported brand values across from the core business pretty well into their floristry. The business has received more M and S flowers than anyone else – good stuff!

CLASSIC BOUQUETS AND A GOOD CHOICE OF SEASONAL COLOURS AND FLOWERS -+ THERE IS USUALLY SOME BONUS OFFER (E.G. GO LARGE FOR MIN CHARGE, OR 50% EXTRA FREE ROSES); ALWAYS WELL BOXED AND BLOOMS LAST WELL, HAVE ON ONE OCCASION FOUND THAT THE DELIVERY DRIVER DELIVERED THE FLOWERS TO THE WRONG ADDRESS AND WHEN TOLD BY THE NEIGHBOUR OF THE INTENDED RECIPENT THAT IT WAS WRONG HE SAID “NOT MY PROBLEM, JUST KEEP THEM LOVE”, LUCKILY FOR ME THE LADY RANG ME AS MY CONTACT NO WAS ON THE BOX AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND AFTER A PHONECALL TO THE ORDERS DEPT, M&S SENT OUT A REPEAT BOUQUET SAME DAY. OTHER THAN THAT GENERALLY A RELIABLE SUPPLIER

Ordered flowers for my friend’s 50th birthday and she didn’t receive them until 6pm!

When I called up at 2pm on the day to check on when the flowers would be received, I was told that they could arrive any time from up until 7.30pm that day. Also they said that they had no way of contacting the delivery driver, as the delivery company delivers for lots of companies, and M&S have no influence over priority of their deliveries!

With regards to delivery of flowers by 7.30pm on the day of delivery, this is nowhere on their website! I’ve checked!!

So, be warned. I am so disappointed that I had to tell my friend she should have received flowers for her birthday….had to tell her to make sure someone could be at home to receive them. Kind of ruins the point of trying to surprise someone with a bunch of flowers!!

I’m still fuming, as I spent £50 on the flowers, and have complained by telephone and email to M&S, all of which have responded that they have done nothing wrong. How about misselling?! Had I known the flowers could arrive as late as 7.30pm, I certainly would not have ordered them!!

So, please be warned.

Ordered flowers on Monday for delivery on Tuesday, nothing delivered up to 5pm. Rang customer service told they deliver up until 7.30pm…if I’d known I wouldn’t of ordered. Customer service representative absolutely useless, complaint in the post. Completely disappointed with the service from this recognised brand. Avoid at all costs…absolutely useless flower service. A very disgruntled customer.

My Mark’s flowers weren’t delivered but bought for me by a customer.
They were the best bouquet of roses i have ever recieved. They lastest at least 2 weeks and looked fab’ for the whole time. What a difference to the roses that die after 4/5 days.

I ordered the Champagne, Chocolates and Rose Basket for my daughter’s 40th birthday. As delivery time could not be guaranteed and we were going to the Peak District for her birthday, ordered delivery for day before. Parcel arrived – a fruit basket had been delivered! Very upset and unhappy and long saga ensued with Customer Service. They could not guarantee delivery of correct order for her birthday, refunded money and said we could keep the fruit basket. Arranged for delivery of bottle of champagne and box of chocolates by taxi from local store by 10am on birthday morning. Again, no delivery by 10am. More phone calls to find nothing had been despatched. Store then arranged for M&S store in Peak District to deliver same items to our holiday cottage by taxi. It worked this time. Whole saga very distressing and not what we had ordered for a special day. No longer trust M&S and would never recommend them to anyone.

FURIOUS with them for not delivering flowers when they said they would, the money was taken the next day from my account but no flowers were sent, I had to ask the recipient if they had received the flowers so the surprise element has been lost. Am waiting to hear from customer services bit not holding my breath. i wish I had found this forum last week! Will deffo NOT be using M&S for anything ever again.

I ordered five bouquets well before Christmas. Two were a disgrace. half the flowers were either dead or dying. The rest just useable but not lasting. Three others were emailed as being delivered but never received. I paid one hundred and fifty five Pounds for all this. Thank you very much!!

Ordered for Mothers Day and failed to deliver!! did not even advise me and after calling and complaining they reluctantly upgraded to a larger bouquet – this arrived the Wednesday after in a hot box from a hot delivery van – will be surprised if they last 4/5 days – My Mother says that the colours and quality are poor. Just to really finish it off I then get an e mail from M&S telling me Sorry but that they have let my e mail go out to a spamming company – I am now suddenly getting hundreds of spam mails to my private business e mail – quite simply some of the worst service I have ever experienced so please avoid Marks & Spencer direct at all costs – I think they have just outsourced the whole thing and there is no quality control at all. I tried to post two reviews on the M&S site and both were rejected without good reason – no doubt they have had thousands!! once again do not touch Marks & Spencer Flowers unless you want to be disappointed and have your e mail given to a spamming company. I have now complained again and got a full refund and it is evident they have had hundreds of complaints like mine.

I ordered a bouquet of the month on 26th June for delivery the next day. Although I waited in all day the flowers did not arrive. I got no response to my first e-mail, so the next morning I sent another one cancelling the order. I got a very cursory reply, saying my money would be refunded and the flowers would be destroyed. As this was not the type of service I expect, I went into my local store, who rang the on-line service on my behalf. The manager was appalled at the bad response she (and I) had recieved, and as a good will gesture gave me a beautiful bunch of peonies. I will not use the on line service again, but I was really heartened by the kindness of the manager at our local store, as the problem was really nothing to do with them. I sent her a thank you card. The on line service could learn a lot from that manager!

Have tried flowers from M&S, Next and John Lewis.

M&S are by far the best, always stunning and overwhelming.

Next and John Lewis were poor value for money.

Let’s be honest – many people will order their flowers and have no issues – perhaps they want their flowers delivered to a hermit that lives permanently inddors at one location between the hours of 7AM and 9PM.

M&S mention nothing of the fact that ‘next day delivery’ covers this time period until the order is sent in a confirmation email, at which point you are not in a position to cancel them. What they should do is mention this timeframe (7am-9pm) in the first email you receive that relates to you placing an order that gives you the chance to cancel up until receiving the ‘confirmation’ one above.

this really comes down to a lack of transparency on M&S’s part.

think twice before going with them.

DIABOLICAL!! Avoid like the plague unless you want flowers that do not arrive on the correct day, no advice that they have failed to deliver, hardly an apology on the awful service, when they do arrive they are already dying and then finally the large £45 Bouquet is tiny – I did finally get a refund – Dont kid yourself as this delivery service is totally outsourced to some cheap florist and some cheap courier company

absolute disgrace! M&S offer a named day delivery, I took advantage of this when ordering a bunch of Christmas flowers for a mum to cheer her up. I asked my mother to wait in for a ‘delivery’, she waited in ALL day and nothing arrived. I was so upset and so was my mother. I phoned at 9pm at night, was put in a queue for 20 minutes, when I finally got through, they tried to fob me off with a £5 voucher for my next spend (won’t be using them again, so useless) I just went ahead and asked for a full refund, which i then received. It remains to be seen whether the flowers ever turn up. I will never be using M&S flowers ever again.

Dear Sir/Madam,
On Tuesday the 10/01//2012, I placed an order on line for a bunch of flowers @22.00 pounds for a birthday for the 11/11/2012.
On your webside you advertise for next day delivery. Today the 11/01/2012 was my wife`s birthday. Today I received an email from your customer service area ( Kasim Hussain ), saying that this order will be delivered on Thursday the 12/01/2012. I find this delay unacceptable. Therefore I would like to cancel my order and give me my money back.
I also wish to inform you that I filled a similar form twice for a refund but the email said that it did not recognize the address, although I filled your Mark and Spencer specimen of forms on line similar to the one I placed my order.I also do not like to be ignored when I make a complain to you about your bad service.
This order was to be delivered for Mrs. Irene Stivaros
at 31, Broad Oak Lane,
M205QB
I would like to hear your views on the matter.

Yours Faithfully,
Mr. Plato Stivaros

I ordered a bouquet to be delivered on a specific day via the website and it did not turn up.

I had to ring customer services who sent it out for delivery the following day. Of course this completely ruined what was supposed to be a gift.

What I’m most angry with is that M&S website keep rejecting the negative review I have tried to submit. Clearly they want to mislead customers into thinking everyone has had a positive experience with them. I wish I’d checked this review site first.

In the future I’ll stick with interflora who I’ve never had a problem with.
